Aim

This course will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide first aid in any emergency situation and with an emphasis on children. This course also covers the knowledge and skills to assist a child with an asthma attack and anaphylactic reaction.

 

Please note that due to the Health Training Package updating as of October 2021 – this course is now solely focused on First Aid in infants and children. This unit applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthma and anaphylactic emergencies. This includes early childhood workers and educators who work with school age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs.

Prerequisites /Entry Requirements

Duration: 1 day course with a completion of online theory prior to the training

Certificate Validity

The Nationally Recognised certificate for Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting is valid for a period of 3 years.

Recognition

First Aid Action is a registered training organisation (RTO), recognised within the VET quality framework. This course is designed to meet the requirements of nationally recognised competency standards.
